With over 15 years experience in the industry, Katharine creates unique and elegant interiors; rooms which are both functional and a joy to be in, brought to life with interesting textiles, furniture, lighting and art. Her interiors demonstrate a strong sense of colour and pattern, and a fusing of the old with the new, with a focus on quality and craftsmanship and a sensitivity to the period and style of the building she is working on.
Working with a wide range of trusted suppliers, antique dealers, artisans and craftsmen, many of whom she has established close relationships with over the years, Katharine offers a completely bespoke service tailored entirely to each of her clients' needs, thoughtfully considered at every stage and delivered with meticulous attention to detail. Katharine loves to work closely with all her clients, helping them to bring their vision for their home to reality, believing that every interior should reflect the personalities of the people who live there.
Following an MA degree at Edinburgh University in History of Art and Architecture, Katharine began her career at House & Garden Magazine at Condé Nast. She then moved to Sibyl Colefax & John Fowler, the oldest and most respected interior design firm in Britain, where she gained a classical training, and invaluable design knowledge and decorating experience over four years. In 2014, Katharine founded her own interior design studio.
Katharine's work has been featured in House & Garden, The Sunday Times Style, The Saturday Telegraph, Stella Magazine, SheerLuxe, Country Life, Homes & Gardens, and The English Home.
